Jurisdiction: Exclusive to the courts of England and Wales

1. About Oomsy

Oomsy is a digital household assistant designed to help adults plan and organise daily life. It uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence ("AI"), to understand and act on your inputs—such as text, voice notes, and data from authorised integrations—and may combine this with other data sources to improve performance and relevance.

Oomsy is an informational tool. It does not provide professional, medical, nutritional, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any information, recommendations, or actions suggested by the service before relying on them.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be 18 years or older to create an account or use Oomsy.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

If you input data about others (for example, family members), you confirm you have appropriate authority or parental responsibility to do so.

3. Household and family data

Oomsy is designed for adult account holders. You may enter limited household information—such as names, preferences, or constraints—to help manage family life. By doing so, you confirm that:

  • you have the right or authority to provide this information;
  • it is entered under your control and for your personal use; and
  • Oomsy does not directly contact, profile, or communicate with minors.

Oomsy may use this household data to personalise outputs for your household (for example, avoiding allergens or aligning with family preferences) but not to target or interact with children directly. You remain responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of all information you provide.

4. Your inputs and content

You own the content you provide ("Inputs"). You grant Oomsy a broad, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, process, store, and adapt your Inputs and resulting outputs as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, and protect the service, develop new features, and comply with law.

You may use outputs for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Outputs are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies or omissions. Oomsy does not guarantee that any output will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your circumstances, and you are responsible for verifying results before acting on them.

5. Sensitive information and consent

Certain features may rely on information that could reveal health, accessibility, ethical, or other sensitive personal details. We may request your explicit consent to process such information when required by law.

If you withdraw consent, some features may stop working and your account may be restricted or closed if continued processing would be unlawful.

Oomsy does not intentionally collect or use other special categories of personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, sexual orientation, or biometric data).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Oomsy unlawfully or infringe the rights of others;
  • upload harmful code, spam, or abusive content;
  • attempt unauthorised access to any system or data;
  • reverse-engineer or extract data from Oomsy; or
  • use outputs to train or develop competing AI services.

We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect users, ensure compliance, or prevent misuse.

7. Plans and billing

Oomsy offers free and paid plans, sometimes with 7- or 14-day trials.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before renewal.

Payments are processed by RevenueCat and app-store providers.

No refunds are offered once a billing period begins, except where required by law or platform policy.

We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.

8. Service availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service—or any part of it—at any time and for any reason, without liability to you. We may also introduce or remove features as we develop the platform. We aim to provide a stable service but make no guarantees of uninterrupted access or uptime.

9. Disclaimers

Oomsy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your purposes.

All outputs, suggestions, and recommendations are automatically generated and provided for general informational purposes only. Oomsy is not responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on this information.

10. Liability limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Oomsy and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible loss;

Oomsy's total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of £50 or the total fees you paid to Oomsy in the 12 months before the claim; and

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Oomsy harmless from any claims, costs, or liabilities arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms.

12. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the service and user information from unauthorised access or misuse. No online system is completely secure, but we aim to maintain safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we handle.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or where we are legally required to do so. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will remain in effect.

14. Children and household data

Oomsy is intended for adult use. Adult users may input limited household information—such as family members' names, preferences, or allergies—to help with planning. This data is processed under your control and used only to personalise outputs for your household, not to profile or communicate with minors.

Oomsy does not directly create, maintain, or verify records for children. You remain responsible for any household information you provide.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Oomsy.

16. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our service, operations, or legal requirements. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of Oomsy after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
